ABOUT

The Society of Environmental Engineers (SENVE) is an undergraduate student-based and operated club at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, California. Since 1987, SENVE has been an active club charter of Cal Poly’s Associate Students, Incorporative (ASI), yet it has been providing its dedicated members with professional, educational, and social resources since 1973. SENVE is a student chapter of the national, non-profit environmental organization Air and Waste Management association (AWMA), which gives students studying environmental science the opportunity to interact with members at all levels, as well as raise their professional awareness.

Mission Statement

The Society of Environmental Engineers (SENVE) provides Cal Poly students with opportunities to network with industries, professors, and other students through field trips, community service, and guest speakers. The club also participates as a student chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association.

Professionalism

Guest Speakers at general meetings are a significant asset to SENVE because they provide the members with helpful information about their particular field, give interesting presentations, and often offer job opportunities.

It has also been a privilege for SENVE to co-host an annual engineering career fair at Cal Poly for the past 20 years. The career fair is an excellent resource for potential jobs and educational opportunities. As many as 80 companies have attended the annual career fair.
